How are they installed?
DIY users rejoice as this product was designed from the ground up to be end user installed.
Each row of seating takes about 30 - 60 minutes to fit. The more time you can spend fussing, the better the end result.
Plan to remove the headrests and some basic plastic trim pieces as well as peripheral arms on models with quick release mechanisms.
If you are handy, this is a great project.
Instructions are included.
I nstallation of most components is done by first flipping the piece inside out, getting a start point set, and then rolling the cover back over. This method reduces friction and makes positioning easier.
The product is held in place with a series of zippers and heavy velcro bands.
Front seat cushions typically utilize straps that run front to rear under the seat as well as a large welt that is pinched in place under the plastic trim.
Y ou will want to work in a warm environment.
Vinyl is very flexible and stretchy when warm and ridgid when cold. The warmer the material, the easier things will go and the better things will look.
Puckers and folds held in the material from packaging will fade away once the vehicle has spent some time baking in the summer sun.
If you must install your kit in the cold, plan to make your final adjustments once the weather warms up to get that precise fit.
What are the trim levels?
PVC This is our entry level option featuring an entirely utility grade vinyl (pvc) construction with a fine pebbled finish and a perforated body.
This option is ideal for work or fleet vehicles where cost and utility are the primary concerns. This is the only material offered in our cargo van kits.
The 100% vinyl versions are going to be the best option where the covers will be repeatedly exposed to damp conditions or access humidity.
This material is less flexible and is going to be harder to stretch into place and contour in temperatures below 20 degrees celcius than the premium vinyl used in the leather trimmed version.
Installation in temperatures above 15 degrees celsius or use of a steamer is recommended.
This product ships in a plain brown box.
MIX This is our top trim level featuring a mix of premium soft touch vinyl and genuine leather.
Color Options
Fitted slip-over seat covers are available in black, dark grey, light grey and tan. Available colors will be application dependent.
Perforated Body
Vinyl and leather trimmed versions both include a perforated body for added style and comfort.
Pebble Grain
Vinyl (PVC) versions utilize a finer pebble grain finish throughout.
Leather Grain
The vinyl areas of leather trimmed versions feature a matching leather grain finish and utilize soft touch additives for a supple feel.
